01. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how RichFolds handles information in connection with richfolds.com, project inquiries and related communications. It applies to this website; a separate project agreement may explain how information is handled during client work. For privacy questions, contact hello@richfolds.com.
02. Information you give us
When you submit a project brief or contact us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, requested service, budget and project details. We keep inquiries in the website’s private administration area and send email notifications and acknowledgements. Please avoid sending passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information through the inquiry form.
03. How we use information
We use inquiry and client information to respond to messages, understand requirements, prepare proposals, communicate about agreed work, manage the business and address security or legal obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on steps you request before a contract, performance of a contract, consent, legal obligations or legitimate operational and security interests, as appropriate to the activity.
04. Cookies and first-party analytics
The website’s cookie panel lets you accept or reject its optional first-party analytics. The rf_cookie_consent cookie remembers that choice for up to 180 days. If accepted, rf_analytics_id identifies a browser for up to 180 days. First-party page-view records include the page path, referring domain, timestamp and a one-way visitor hash. These analytics records do not contain raw IP addresses, email addresses, names or user-agent strings, and are scheduled for deletion after 180 days. Consent-choice events are also recorded.
After you accept analytics, rf_enquiry_visit in same-tab session storage remembers the first page observed after consent and an external referring domain for up to 30 minutes. Query strings, URL fragments and search terms are excluded. If you submit an enquiry while that choice remains accepted, this limited visit context is attached to the private enquiry record to help us understand which visits lead to contact. It is not linked to the anonymous analytics visitor identifier. This optional context is scheduled for removal after 180 days; the underlying business enquiry may be kept longer as described below. Rejecting analytics clears the tab context and prevents it being attached to future submissions. Context already attached to a submitted enquiry can be addressed through a privacy request.
Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your first-party analytics choice. Essential cookies used for sign-in, security or site operation may still be necessary. You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser.
05. Google and other website providers
This website integrates Google services, including measurement, advertising and account sign-in components. Those services can receive technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device details, page activity and cookies, depending on the service, its configuration and your choices. The first-party cookie panel described above controls RichFolds’ own analytics; it does not by itself manage every third-party service.
If you use Google sign-in, Google supplies account information needed for authentication, such as your name, email address and account identifier. Fonts, platform icons and other externally hosted assets may also cause your browser to contact their providers. 06. Hosting, access logs and service providers
Hosting, email, security and technical service providers may process information needed to operate this website and communicate with you. Server and security logs may include IP addresses, request times, browser information and requested URLs. These operational logs are separate from the first-party analytics records described above. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or security, or to providers involved in delivering agreed services.
07. Retention and security
We keep inquiries, correspondence and project records for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose they were collected, ongoing business relationships, dispute resolution and applicable record-keeping obligations. Retention varies by the type of record; the 180-day analytics schedule does not apply to all business records. We use reasonable access controls and security measures, but no website, email system or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
08. Your choices and privacy requests
You can ask us to access, correct or delete information you have provided, or raise a concern, by emailing hello@richfolds.com. Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent or complain to a privacy regulator. Rights and exceptions depend on the circumstances. We may need to verify a request before acting, and some records may need to be retained for legal or contractual reasons.
09. International processing and external links
Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Applicable protections depend on the provider and service. Links to other websites lead to services with their own privacy practices; review their policies before sharing information with them.
10. Children and policy updates
This website is intended for business inquiries and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can review and address it. We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest published revision.
